Big Island Divers was established in 1984. In 1996, it was sold to Norman Cinch who relocated to the islands from Saskatchewan, Canada . In previous businesses, Norm (pictured here with his wife Roberta) has always believed the best way to keep a customer happy is to treat that individual's needs to the highest degree, and then strive to surpass even that level. He has carried that philosophy throughout life, and has now implemented it in the "NEW" Big Island Divers. As a PADI certified diver, and a United States Coast Guard licensed Captain, there are few things that Norm enjoys as well as a day on the water to see firsthand the smiles and complements of a group of satisfied customers. More than likely though you will find him in the store either showing someone a new piece of equipment in the showroom or at his workbench fine-tuning a piece of equipment. As a factory trained technician, Norm stays on the cutting edge of equipment repair. He takes pride in tuning your regulator to breathe better than it did "out of the box". So whether you need a great price on new gear, a repair on your old gear, or just want to drop by and "talk story",
